Are you brain in vessel?
I was thinking about what I could write here. Italki suggested me some writing ideas, but when I imagined a story about my funny experience, I felt that it might only be funny for me.
I decided to write about a book which I am reading now. This note will not be directly about a book, more like about one chapter.
This book is called "50 philosophical theories which you should to know" one of these theories was a theory of Philosopher Hilary Putnam. Hilary Putnam invented the theory, according to which our brain exists in a vessel with connecting stimulus apparatus. This apparatus gives an illusion of life, that
means that our hands, legs, family, nature and all this world exists only in our minds. So if it is true every single person is only like a "brain in a vessel" and everything is nothing more than a complicated projection.
What do you think about this? Are you a brain in a vessel or do you are exist in reality?
I think, that even if we are just a brain in a vessel, this our reality.
Hello Anna,
Interesting text and I don't know the answer to your question. it is too late in the week to think too hard! There are quite a few mistakes but most of them are spelling mistakes. Take a little more care with 'a', I know you don't have it in Polish - it means one (of many)
Hope this helps
Bob
