北京人为什么用很多“儿”(字)？

中文有很多方言口音，这（也）是因为中文很难（的一个原因）。我觉得北京口音是最难的，因为北京人总是用很多“儿”（字）。比例，如果你想问几点钟，南部（方）人说：“几点钟啊？”，北部（方）人说：“几点儿？”，但是听起来北京人说：“几儿点儿钟儿？”。为什么（加）很多“儿”（字）？？？这个“儿”（字）（是）从哪里来的？也许我应该问从哪儿来的儿？

Not sure where you learned this. I'm from Beijing and this is definitely now how we say it. I'm pretty sure there is only one way to say it, that is "几点了". We use 儿 in daily conversation a lot, but not in this sentence.
