Genius...is it something that we are born with? Or is it a result of hard work? Many people say that genius is only natural and that environmental factors have a limited influence. However, Lyza said that, "There is no such thing as genius. It is a combination of hard work and determination", which means that anyone can be a genius in whatever they have a passion in and are willing to work for it (Perhaps this sounds better).Have you heard about this experiment? It's about measuring brain activity and involved a genius named Ruediger Jam, who can multiply large numbers in a few seconds. Scientists compared Jam to average people. The surprising result from the experiment was that average people were found to use 12 areas of their brains while Jam used 17 areas! However, Jam was not born with this extraordinary ability. He was a normal person until he was determined to change himself, and he did this by practicing 4 hours a day on mathematics.
So, I totally agree with this quote and it helped me a lot in my life. It gave me a motive to aim high and work hard in whatever I do. As a result, I became more confident in my abilities, and I am happier as I know that my hard work in anything will pay off and might make me a genius one day!
