Some ideas based on the Russian :)
On a Planet Which Was Ruthlessly Tiny
Dear friends! Here's my trial to translate a poem by Robert Rozhdestvensky, a poet from the USSR. Even a negative assessment is welcome..And once, on a beautiful morning,
A seemingly small war knocked on his window.
And one a sunny beautiful morning
he had heard someone knocked on his window.
And it seemed it was a little war.
And his rifle was also tiny.
And they gave him new boots, they were tiny,
And his helmet was very tiny,
His trenchcoat was of a tiny size.
He was given a tiny rifle,
And new boots, which were also tiny,
And a helmet, it was also tiny,
And a trenchcoat of the tiniest size.
...And when he fell down—
unnatural and unsightly,
And his mouth was distorted with a battle cry,
It turned out,
The Earth had not enough marble
to cut him out in his real/true? great height.
