Nice to hear from you. First of all I'm very happy to be here giving I'd be happy to share some suggestions for (Different words, but sounds more natural) your day trip.
I'd like to recommend that they (your sister and her friends) first walk around the city center and after that, they should go visiting visit the three towers seeing as they are UNESCO humanity heritage and the most important symbol for San Marino.
I'd say the best way to go there is initially by bus and then by foot, depending also where they are staying.
I suggest that they check on google maps (to see how far the places are before visiting them) before traveling.
As far as the time is concerned, I feel like they could set off comfortably at about 9:00 am and begin the return in the late afternoon, or they could even have dinner there if they are having fun and they want to enjoy our traditional food.

- In all honesty this looks perfect without my corrections - the only grammatical issue I think is the "the should go visit" part - and that still may be correct. But I believe "visit" should be in the infinitive form not the present progressive.
The other changes I made were to sound more natural by an American English person's ear (my own.) It also comes off very formal, but they may be your intention. Fantastic job!
