Today, I went out to eat steak with my father! It's so delicious and I'm going to sleep now. It's been / It was such a nice day. Could you please tell me difference between sleep and nap.

To sleep is a general term that refer to the action of sleeping, no matter how long. A nap however refers to a short sleep you take outside of your night of sleep, usually during the day.

Today, I went out to eat steak with my father! It's so delicious.and I'm going to sleep now.It's been (as your day is almost over) such a nice day. please tell me difference between sleep and nap. A nap tends to be a much shorter sleep. Sometimes in the daytime. My dad used to like a quick/short nap after lunch!
