If you’re referring to something physical, like a hole, it would suggest that the hole is very deep and you’re referring to the very bottom. If you’re referring to emotions it would suggest our truest and most sincere emotions. 🌈 Nicky

In your example, I am assuming “like” is being used for emphasis. It isn’t correct, and is usually use in common verbal speech as meaningless “filler word” or to draw attention to something. So, one might say, “that whole is deep, like really deep”. The word like is unnecessary and doesn’t really add anything. It is more used as emphasis or to suggest that the whole is deeper than what you might think. And as previously mentioned, deep can mean literally depth, or commonly as a slang expression with strong emotional feelings. “This song deep, like really deep.” (Suggesting that it is a very emotional, and/or, thoughtful/wise song).

It depends on the context of the rest of the rest of the conversation. It can mean to literally talk about the depth of something, such as a hole in the ground. Or, what you're probably referring to is when someone is talking about their true feelings. For example, "My mother and I have never gotten along. We have argued with each other my entire life and we don't talk to each other very much. But I know DEEP DOWN that she loves me no matter what, because I am her son." Hope this helps!
