Профессиональный преподавательHAVE vs GET
These two verbs are very common in English, but they are used in different ways:
HAVE = to own, to hold, or to experience
I have a car. (possession)
She has a big family. (possession)
We usually have dinner at 7. (experience, routine)
GET = to receive, obtain, or become
I got a new car yesterday. (receive/obtain)
He got a gift for his birthday. (receive)
It’s late, I’m getting tired. (become)
*Tip:
Have = what you already own or experience.
Get = the action of receiving or becoming.
