Thanks in advance Writing a letter to a friend, reading the news in your house and writing or reading a book in school are literacy practices developed in different settings and circumstances. In my view, in most of the cases the first two examples are activities encouraged by ourselves, whereas the last one is commonly encouraged by another person, in this case the teacher.
