🍄This is a special chapter. (1) The city where I live had one local case at the end of May, then everything changed. We haven't had any local cases since April or May Last Year, everything has run normally since then. We were back to work in our office building on the 1st March Last Year. I've kept going to the Gyms, restaurants and the Yoga center. Cinemas, and other places started to reopen like nothing is different from before, except that we had to wear masks but that's normal for Asian culture, I guess because we experienced SARS in 2013. Slowly people began to stop wearing masks and we enjoyed our everyday life again. However, our happy life stopped suddenly because of only one case(the infection is a 75 years old grandma, not my grandma),the whole city reacted so quickly. Within 1-2 hours the hospital cars drove to the ground floor of our block of flats because the grandma had come here to eat. The staff of the building came and knocked to ask us to go down to do a PCR test. At the same time, they traced all the people around this grandma and contacted them. Then in one week, they tested over 7millions people in our community and found around 20-30 people were positive Basically they had all been close to the grandma and they blocked an area where those infections had been. Just in a few days I think only about 5 gyms, restaurants and other facilities were ordered to close again. Not only my community, but also extend to other areas of the city and even other cities around Guangzhou. They reacted with a massive test drive . We have nearly 20 millions people living in this city. So far, they have conducted testing three times in our area and in total they have tested over 10 million people in two weeks. A joke here is that the government promoted vaccines for half a year but not many people wanted to get it but then you have a 75 years old grandma who only spent half a day here and now the people all rush to be vaccinated.
