Is the word "ice skate" a verb?
The sentence is "I was 13 when I first learnt how to ice skate.".
But I just learn "how to + verb", so the word "ice skate" is a verb?

In this context, there is supposed to be a hyphen ice-skate and that is a verb meaning to skate on ice. Roller-skate is also a verb. Most often, I see both without the hyphen and many times written as a single word. Not sure why.
