How to describe address in english? When somebody asks me address in english...I am not able to say it in proper way...... i.e say somebody suddenly comes to you and asks where is xyz building/bank? you know its few streets away..but from the current location how do I need to tell?

Are you asking how to give an address, or how to give directions? The address format in English goes like this: street number - street name - suburb - city - state - country Of course, if you're a couple of blocks away, you just need the number and name of the street. Pointing helps.
