Outside of English speaking countries English is just English. There is no such thing as American and British English. Those are just dialects. In America the American accent is more popular. In Britain the British accent is more popular. I'm afraid your question is a bit meaningless.

I dont know which accent it's more popular but I can say I love british accent :D
