Mad As a Box Of Frogs
This should mean very mad, I guess. But is it mad as in crazy, or mad as in angry? (Or both may-be?)
The answers on line I could find tried to explain me that it means 'very mad'. Yeah that I know.

We say "mad as a cut snake" in Australia, and this can have either meaning: crazy or angry. But that's how some Aussie idioms work (double meanings). As to the box of frogs, I'd have to guess at the meaning as well. I think the main idea is not to open the box! ;)
We have the froggy Australian expression, "to go off like a frog in a sock", which is used to mean a very successful party - lots of energy!

I once heard a man on the radio in Ireland say that someone was "mad as a fish"! He meant crazy... .
