does "spun the wheel " mean "start?" Hawaiian time, as Bill Greer spun the wheel of the big Lincoln, was 8:21 A.M. The Cabinet plane, Aircraft 86972, had left Hickam Field and was bulling its way through strong head winds toward Japan.

Here, 'spun the wheel' means Greer was driving. It can refer to the wheels of the car spinning or the turning of the driver's wheel. He was driving a Lincoln (U.S. car manufacturer). More specifically, I believe this is referring to the time when President Kennedy was assassinated. Greer was driving the car in which Kennedy was killed.

i think so Maylit we should review the meanings of word 'spun'
