hi Lucy, they are all suffixs. and used with the Island's name. it's only used with Island's name and name should come before the suffix. they actually have no real meaning .. those names derived from our ancistors* . -dhoo ( island) -faru ( referring to lagoon) eg: Nellaidhoo, kurehdhoo, kudafaru
