Why do Koreans like to eat pickles?
My boyfriend is Korean.His mother made pickles for him.Before this I had not eaten a real pickle，So I am very curious, I ate a little.Wow，I can not forget its taste forever.It tastes very sour and very spicy.Perhaps the Chinese people can not get used to the taste.I really do not like to eat it.But my boyfriend said after we got married, we will go to Korea.so I have to get used to the taste of Korean food.Only Korean barbecue taste good.I really like Chinese food! Best to eat.Do you like pickles？

Are you talking about.... kimchi?? :)

Actually, I think most cultures which had to deal with a harsh winter period did some kind of pickling.  Koreans just decided to add lots of chilli. I really like it - I even learnt how to make kimchi.
