Mikey's answer is good. But here we use 系(jì) for better sound. Because 戴 sounds the same as 带.

戴is better. Normally it use 佩戴 for ornaments

The Chinese people used 佩 in the ancient time.Only when we talking about hats,we use 戴.the verb 系，is the right word as we use.
