"You've got me tripping' - what does that mean? "You make me get out of my depth"?

P.S. Since the 1960's and 1970's, the slang term "tripping," now is about 40 to 50 years old.
If people use the term "trip" or "tripping" they are about half a century out-of-date.
If you propose this to some persons however, they will perhaps think that they are "hip" or part of some "insider" clique or segment of society.
.
That is the perpetual difficulty with people who try to establish some sort of Counter-Culture as a cultural norm.

"You've got me tripping' - what does that mean?"---Kira
It means; "You are making me think!"
"Tripping" derives from American Drug Culture. To---Take--A--Trip is a slang usage which referred to ingesting (eating) or otherwise using a strong hallucinogenic drug, such as LSD.
Over decades, people adopted the terms "Trip" or "Tripping" to refer in a general kind of way to express some kind of a mental puzzlement about some question or idea.
For example; "You've got me tripping!" could mean that I am confused about your personal identity. Perhaps I am questioning your sexual identity, or your allegiance to some philosophy or political position.
It can be understood to mean basically, that I am Out----of-----My---Depth.
Per my usual advice, I do not recommend that you adopt the use of slang terminology.
Regarding slang terminology, any person at any time can attribute to any slang term, any meaning they wish, and some meanings may be grounded heavily in the ignorance of the person using such a term.
