@xarmanla The choice of words is what surprises me most about Arabic.

I am surprised that ما رأيك conveys the idea of inviting someone. The English ''How about'' is close to "Let's drink coffee'' and is more of a rhetoric question. Polysemy is not my strong suit. The use of ودع also surprises me. The English meaning is that we do not want to repeat prior mistakes.
