Are these preposotions correct? a) on a winter night; b) on Monday morning.

That's "prepositions" not "preposotions." A and B are both correct. Remember to use on "a" Monday morning if you're referring to *any* Monday, or leave it the way it is if you are referring to a specific Monday.
