:) this is a cute expression. It means "you are crazy" but in a nice way. It doesn't mean someone is literally mentally ill, you would use it when speaking to a friend who is doing something silly. Example: "I'm going to come to school dressed as batman tomorrow!" "You're absolutely bananas!" I hope this helps ;)
