know a city
Spanish tend to say:
I want to go to London to know the city.
I think this is not fully correct isn´t it?
What about : I want to get to know the city
or I want to know about the city ?
the idea is learn what the city is like
Thank you
You're right, emarbe, it isn't quite right - it sounds a little 'Spanglish'.
'Get to know' is a good expression. You can get to know a place in the same way as you can get to know a person.
