In my point of view, regardless of any language it will take at least a year, but the most important thing is your attitude. If you keep studying with a sincere attitude, it'd take less than 2 years. I hope you will achieve it as soon as possible and I can help you as much as I can. go for it!

I would also tend to say that it is a matter of attitude. You can study korean for over 5 years, but without taken serious interest on it, you won't achieve a good level. Whenever you are unmotivated, simply remind you why you are studying it, and always keep your goal in mind :)

Yeah, I actually know a pretty good chunck of information at least. lol I can read and write it and know the basics. I just want to be fluent :)

Ah, I see you've been studying for a few years, so you already know what I just said in my comment. Haha

One thing to remember is that for native English speakers, Korean is one of the hardest languages to learn, by far (along with Chinese and Japanese). I'm not trying to be discouraging, just blunt. It will take a while, but if you love it and want to learn, it's very possible! I've been studying off and on for about 2 years and have got a pretty good grasp at the grammar, but a weak vocabulary and no actual speaking skills. It's tough, but fun!
