what does "我们认识一下"mean in this phrase? and when can we use "一下"? 我姓张，我们认识一下， 这是我的名片。 = Mi apellido es zhang, veamos, este es mi carnet / fotocheck (de identificación)。

我们认识一下 = Let me introduce myself. (And would you please introduce yourself?) 我们认识 ＝ We know each other. So 一下 makes a huge difference to the meaning of the sentence.

一下 is added to a verb to express as try or a short action here it's "let's try to get acquainted"
