I think you're referring to POJ, right? Wikipedia provides more than enough information on the romanization system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pe%CC%8Dh-%C5%8De-j%C4%AB Taiwan oficially uses a system called Tãi-lo, based on POJ. Basically the differences are: POJ -> Tâi-lo ch -> ts chh -> tsh eng -> ing oa -> ua oe -> ue oai -> uai The rest of it is identical in both POJ and Tâi-lo.
