This is a gift FOR you. I have a gift FOR you. I'm giving this gift TO you. I have a question FOR you. I have a question TO ask you. This is how these would be used. I hope this helps :)

A: This is a gift for you. This is fine. B: I have a qustion to you. I have a question FOR you. I am going TO ask you a question. Are you going TO the movies? Have you an answer for me?
