Phresal verbs: to Carry out and to work out. Hi, I've often met these phresal verbs and it'd help me if I could have some examples about the former (to carry out)for all its meanings( if there is more than one). With the respect to work out, I haven't understood yet if it's refered to physical training in general ( training at the swimming pool, running, etc..) or it strictly has to do with the training you do at the gym. Thank you everybody in advance.

"Carry out" has two uses: Meaning "complete a plan or task or a set of tasks": He didn't carry out his responsibilities at work. The plan was not carried out.. Meaning "hold in your hands and transport elsewhere". He carried out the books from the house." Though usually written "he carried the book out from the house".
