To express that we should make a decision together
I had a meeting with a few people yesterday, and I wanted to express that we should not make our own decisions on something, but have a talk, and then make guidelines. I do not know what the best way to express this in English is...
In Dutch it is literally 'do it in gathering'. It is probably, most probably not correct English, but it is to indicate what kind of expression I am looking for. Can you give some advice how to say this.
I thought it could be: 'in consultation', from what I could search on the internet.

I would say "come to a joint decision" or "discuss and come to an agreement" .I hope this is what you mean.
