school test Yes and I know it makes no sense I thought it could be: He's known to come. If he "weren't " he wouldn't have to complain. But I'm not sure

Apart from the sentence making no sense (yes I realise it's from a GSC exam), I wonder how a third conditional can be in the same sentence as present tense. I actually suspect there's just one word which is wrong, and fixing that would make the sentence readable.
