I think that translates to "Let's try to get together today in the evening." To say this more naturally in American English though, you should say "Let's try to get together tonight." instead. There is no need to include today / hoy when you used the adverb "tonight". :) tratar de = to try / attempt (something) juntar = to come together / to gather together
