What to learn first in Japanese?
I want to learn Japanese but I am not sure how to start. Should I begin with simple phrases or grammar or writing ? I feel confused.

You should start by learnng the kana.

i'm also just starting as well, it helps if one could first master the kana and hiras which i'm still painfully memorizing...

You should start with the hiragana & katakana. Then you can study with a textbook, there are a lot of books for beginners students You can find these kind of books on the internet.
