I agree with the above answer, because the father is the first male in his daughter's life and if he is a good man, the daughter will choose a similar male as a husband because she wants to replicate the feeling of being safe & protected.

I heard it this before. It's a general psychological study. i don't think that's true (at least in my case), but can happen. If a woman adore to his father can find a similar model. In the same way (or similar way), this happen with the mens and the Oedipus's complex.
