What does "vocal player" mean? "Although I was not a vocal player, my basketball coach asked me to be team captain for my final season in high school. I could have declined the offer, but I chose to take the risk to lead the team." Does "vocal player" have anything to do with vocal? Or it's just mean the main player? Thank you very much!

If someone is vocal it means that they share their opinions and feelings often. This would probably be a good quality for a team captain, because they would offer encouragement and help to other players on the team. The opposite would be players who are reserved and keep their ideas to themselves.
