Due to or for? What do you think? Which one is correct? "You know, Starbucks is famous (DUE TO/ FOR) its coffee, but I love its pastries." Is there a right way that say this phrase or both can be used? Thanks in advance.

Both are correct, but "for" fits this situation better. "Famous for/known for" are idiomatic phrases that are used much more than "famous due to/known due to". But again, they both work just fine. I discuss the uses of "due" here: http://www.italki.com/question/324417

Due to is correct here. It means "caused by." "Due for" means something is expected - The car is due for some routine maintenance.
