i'd help you. but you have to be serious. Not just one or two conversations and disappear. And more importantly, you must have SOMETHING to say. You must monopolize the conversation. Tell a story, talk about family, talk about government, anything. but remember, I can't help you if you have problem translating something because I do not speak your language. Everything you say must be in English. I think the problem all you are encountering is that Westerns usually like to associate with each another. They (we're) not very hospitable nor friendly to foreigners. But feel free to disagree with me.

Not the truth at all for me. I am learning Egyptian Arabic and I have 5 young Egyptian women that I am in daily contact with my email, here and by Skype. You need to be friendly, polite, consistant and not expect too much, some of us are helping 5 or 6 people and we also have to live our own lives around all that Skyping.

I find that the person wanting to learn English really isn't too interested, so then you feel it is a waste of time. I've helped many people that fit in that category.

i added some people in my skype just out of respect because they answered my question in ITALKI,but then it turned out they are freak and very bothering. so i would be VERY VERY cautious about adding anyone in my skype. Plus i don't use skype much.
