Yes it is? Hi everybody! I'm a bit puzzled. In an English book I've found the following exchange: - Is that our new teacher? - Yes, it is. Her name is Mrs Roberts. My question is: is "it" correct? Shouldn't it be "she", as the teacher is a lady? Are both words acceptable? Thanks a lot for your help!
