Thank you very much! You are completely right. It's not a good idea to use root words in the same sentence in any language

Enlightening revelation isn't wrong, but is somewhat redundant and cumbersome. Especially, since your next sentence explains the situation using "light". I'd personally look for another adjective to describe the "revelation".
