Correction: Is it correct *to say: "I couldn't imagine that I would be here today/get so far ten years ago"? The phrases are understandable, but the grammatically correct forms would be: "I couldn't have imagined that I would be here today." "I couldn't have imagined that I would/could have gotten so far ten years ago."
