For instance. Early 1920s-1930s American Gangsters would use the term "Iced" for killing someone. For example: "We're going to put him on ice" or " Go ice him" You would tend to hear those phrases a lot in old American movies. Or a more modern take, In the Andrea 3000 song " Shake It" he says "what's cooler than cool? Ice Cold!" Which is just insinuating someone is a really interesting person.
