I agree with chin.billy.leung. Any language you're learning is going to sound fast and difficult to understand when spoken. It's not that Korean itself is particularly hard in this respect. Besides, a month of learning isn't very long. Listening can be very difficult when learning a language so don't feel disappointed that after only a month you still struggle to pick out even a few words from a natural speed conversation. You say you study every day, but what do you study? If you're not practicing listening, it will be hard and very slow for your listening to improve. You don't learn to listen and speak by reading and writing (not efficiently and not well at least. Obviously it has some benefit). Also, since Korean has lots of postpositions, it's quite possible that you know the words but cant recognize them in the form they're being used (this applies to reading too). Alsoooo, since you just started, there's tons of words that you dont know. And the words that you do know, i highly doubt are really pounded into your mind in terms of how they sound and what they are (without translating i mean). Like you may know them in your flashcards but you dont truly have the association between the thing and the sound of the word. I suggest: Studying Korean pronunciation rules Checking pronunciation changes and listening to pronunciation on Naver (the Korean - Korean dictionary) Getting a conversation partner or teacher Actively listening to slow audio and trying to pick out words Actively listening to slow audio and dictating Doing listening comprehension exercises Practice speaking Work on associating words and their pronunciation directly with their meaning (vs translating) ... ex. Make some videos and talk about what you see (they can just be for yourself). Walk around your house. Hold the objects. Point to the objects. Gesture. Perform the actions. Use the words aloud with their meaning to connect them.

And try more output :) you study a lot of grammar but maybe you should learn more useful words too and then practice using them more. Grammar is no use if you don't have enough vocab to really utilize it

It's possible Korean dramas may be too difficult at this point. You could trying podcasts, youtube videos for learners, subtitled Korean interviews (like with singers or groups), or kids shows too :)

Every language that you learn as a non native will be like what you have said - they all speak so fast. Some people estimate that you need at least 2 - 3 years before you begin to sink in that language to understand a bit of what is being said. This is not going to be a sprint, more like a marathon if you really want to be fluent.
