What is the difference between رهن and رهن و اجاره ? What is the difference between رهن and رهن و اجاره ? I thought رهن means security deposit when used in apartment rental but in a website under نوع معامله there is a choice for رهن and رهن و اجاره which does not make sense IF رهن meant security deposit. So I am now confused. Thank you for your answer in advance.

"Rahn" is a type of deposit a tenant makes. Depending on the type of lease agreement, it may be the sole requirement, required in addition to rent, or not required at all with the rent being the sole requirement. Note that it is different from a security deposit, and is typically much larger, particularly when the tenant does not pay rent.
