may be = you use be as a verb, may indicats that it's not sure,
it may be right = it could be right
maybe is an adverb that means perhaps, possibly
so "it may be right" and "it's maybe right" have the same meaning but they are not interchangeable in a sentence

Maybe vs. May Be. The most obvious difference between maybe and may be is that maybe is an adverb, which means that it's modifying a verb/adjective/another adverb, and it means “perhaps” or “potentially”. May be is a verb phrase that implies that something is possible.

Regarding to their morphology, "may" is an auxiliary verb and the word "maybe" is an adverb.
Talking about their meanings, they are almost the same, the only possible difference is when you use "may" to express some wish : "May the force be with you".

I think the main difference is that "maybe" is used more colloquially, while "may be" is generally used in more formal contexts. Regarding their meaning, they stand for the same
