I understand that for each example both sentences are correct*
Is it natural to write in the second format as well?*
例文がちょっと可笑しく聞こえまして、正しく書き直してみました。ご覧ください:
I think to have a break "is" a good idea.
→I think it "is" a good idea to have a break.|
この下の例文での「it 」は假主語の「it 」を示します。
Your experiences make for you to do the job "easily".
→Your experiences make it easy for you to do the job.
上の例文と同じな風に「it 」の假主語の例文を使って下の文章は書かれています。
「it 」の假主語はよく使われていますけど、両方正しいです。「it 」の假主語で文章が分かりやすくなるところもありますけど、フォーマルの文章や学業のエッセイではあんまり使わないほうがもっと正しく見られところもあります。

Hi Yusaku,
I think to have a break a good idea.
→I think it a good idea to have a break.
Your sentence should be: I think it is a good idea to have a break.
We need a linking verb "is" to link the pronoun "it" to your opinion (a good idea to have a break).
Very often, we use a linking verb after a pronoun to provide more information about the pronoun.
Example: He IS a man of principle. / They HAVE a lot of experience. / It WILL remain here.
Your experiences make for you to do the job easy.
→Your experiences make it easy for you to do the job.
Your sentence is fine.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Lance
