"자, 다들 정리해. 이제 5분밖에 안 남았다" 선생님의 독촉에 나는 문제도 보지 않고 OMR 카드 위에 아무거나 찍어다. (찍어다 -> 찍었다 or 찍어 댔다) => At teacher's prodding, I marked answers at random on the OMR card without even reading the questions. * 독촉(n) = pressuring someone to deliver what they owe (like a payment, manuscript installment, etc) * 찍어 대다 = 찍다(1.pick/strike at, 2. select) + 아/어 + -대다 (do something repeatedly) = mindlessly picked answers. 종이 쳤다. => The bell rang. * 쳤다 = past tense of 치다 = (said of a bell) to ring, to toll. 설마 고등학교야 가겠지..... 아니, 못 간들 어떠하랴. => Even in the worst case, I'll probably make it to high school ... well, what do I care if I don't. * 못 간들 = 못 가다(fail to go/make it) + -ㄴ들 (even if something is the case - conditional clause of accepting an unwanted possibility with resignation) == 못 간다(고) 해도 / 못 간다(고) 하더라도 / 못 간다(고) 한들. E.g. 이런들 어떠하리 저런들 어떠하리 (from an old 시조, a type of poem) = What does it matter if it is this way or that way.
