falscher Satz Meine Mutter Lieblingsfarbe its blau, why is it wrong? Die Lieblingsfarbe meiner Mutter ist blau, why is (my mother) Dativ here? What is this rule called? thanks

The correct sentence should be "Die Lieblingsfarbe meiner Mutter ist blau". "Meine Mutter" (my mother) is Genitiv in this case and not Dativ.
