''to be grounded''
I wonder when to use such an expression in a sentence. Does this mean the same as ''get punished for something''
For example, in this sentence:
''Your headmaster has told me about your bad behavior at school! As of today, you're grounded!''
Is this correct?
I'd be glad if you guys could give more examples using this expression.!

Yes, it's correct. To be grounded means to be punished by not being allowed to go out to have fun. It's common for parents to ground their children if they do something bad.
Example:
"I'm sorry, I can't go out this weekend, because I'm grounded."

It is a specific type of punishment.
The punishment is usually that the child is not allowed to leave the house, except to go to school. Parents also "ground" children from playing video games or television.

Informally grounded can mean a punishment. (I didn't clean my room so my mom grounded me.) It can also mean to stay on the ground (There was a terrible storm so all the planes were grounded).
