Do or Does before plural Please, clarify such a simple question: Do your friend and you want to watch TV? (for example) Does your friend and you want to watch TV? Which one is correct? When I list a few people or subjects should I accord the axiliary verb with the first of them or cosider them as a group?

The grammatically correct answer is "do" because "your friend and you" = "you" "Does" must be used only when the subject is a single person or a single object. When speaking, some people may start the sentence with "does your friend" because "does" is close to "your friend" and they forget the rest; but it is not correct

It would be 'Do you and your friend want to watch TV?', because the people doing the action are plural. Similar to 'Do they want to watch TV?' or 'Do your dogs like to run?'
