文法が何の意味　大人しければ大人しいで
小説で「大人しければ大人しいで，調子が狂うのだろう。」という文章が出ました。意味は何ですか。「大人しければ大人しいほど…」という文法と一緒の意味ですか。

Anyway, it means like:

"The quieter you are, the further off you are from your game."

Like you're off-track.

「AすればAしたで、」implies "DEAD END".

- if you don't do A, -> resulting bad,
- however, even if you do A -> still resulting bad.

** Example:

"手伝わなければ文句を言うが、 手伝えば手伝ったで、やり方が悪いとやっぱり文句を言う。"

"She is always complaining that i don't help her,
however even when I help, she still complains that I do it badly"

This expression is so useful that  it is worth keeping it in your vocaburary.

**** 「大人しければ大人しいで，調子が狂うのだろう。」

大人しくないなら（＝荒々しいなら）　->　それはいやだ。でも、
大人しいとしても，->　（やっぱり）調子が狂う （よくない）。

FYI : there are probably 3 persons in this sentence
- one who is 'おとなしい'
- one who is '調子が狂う'
- one who think '～のだろう' (the author?)

***  In wrestling
