As the others said they have different meanings. When using -ed and -ing suffixes with adjectives you should remember that we use -ing to describe the situation/people and -ed to describe how you feel about it. For example:
This lesson is boring (situation)
I got so bored in class today (How you felt about it)
That girl is boring I get bored when I talk to her.

Both are grammatically correct but have different meanings.
"She is boring" is a characteristic (ella es aburrida). She is a boring person.
"She is bored" is just a temporary state (esta aburrida). She is bored because the professor is boring.
